Finance – Sponsorship & Financial Operations
Own sponsorship outreach, fundraising operations, project budgeting, and financial analysis for SRT.
Role overview
Work with the Finance Manager to manage sponsorship outreach, fundraising efforts, project budgets, and financial records. You will have significant ownership over your work and should be comfortable taking initiative without needing every step assigned. A major task for an incoming applicant will be to perform financial audits of the previous year.
What we are looking for
Someone organized, proactive, and comfortable with both communication and financial work. You should be willing to: Cold email and follow up with potential sponsors Communicate professionally with companies Maintain sponsor information and expiration timelines Work extensively in Google Sheets Analyze budgets and financial records Independently organize fundraising opportunities Investigate problems and propose improvements Any major may apply. Prior finance experience is helpful but not required.
Project context
Responsibilities may include: Maintaining SRT's sponsorship packet Finding sponsors and managing outreach/follow-ups Organizing profit-share events Creating budget projections for projects such as IREC or CPLC Reviewing past budgets, SOFC records, bank statements, and expenses Performing a historical financial audit and recommending improvements
